The Lonely Manor – Minecraft Fantasy Mansion

We all dreamt of it at some point. Owning our own home in the middle of a forest. This Minecraft Fantasy Mansion was made to fulfil some of that – partly.

This mansion stands tall on a floating island. Nestled within beautiful woodland. Waterfalls pouring over the edges from mystical rivers. Sat with the setting sun descending behind it.

Living surrounded by nature was a childhood ideal. Something I wished I could aim for. Peace and tranquillity in every direction, beautiful colourful nature and leafy green branches knocking against the window.

Pollen allergies destroyed it – but don’t let your dreams be dreams.

Minecraft is a Sandbox

When you have a goal, nothing stops you from aiming right for it like I have here. Minecraft is a tool, and you are the painter. The designer. The architect of what you desire.

Just because a goal may not be reachable in reality, does not mean it isn’t worth enjoying the thought of. Humouring the idea within your head, appreciating a possibility that will never be.

This is a video of the exterior. Notice the scale? The inside desired was too big to fit, so I had to take a different approach to make it work. As such the interior and exterior are completely separate builds. If you enter the mansion on the island you do indeed enter the entrance hall, but there aren’t any other rooms.

Youuuu’rrreeee… TRAPPED

Hop over to the interior, and there isn’t a door that leads out – you’re trapped!

This build was originally to trap you in a mansion. Teleporting you away so there was no way to ever leave again.

The mansion’s rooms are a network of hallways and paths far too easy to get lost in – if anything, it’s harder to know where you’re going at all! Even I get lost inside the maze of walls! It’s designed so you often can’t tell apart which way you’ve already gone, besides major rooms like the dining hall and library.

That part of me which desired to fulfil the childhood dream house Minecraft Fantasy Mansion was fighting the whole way with the evil, maniacal half creating a build you could never hope to easily navigate. A perfect starter set to a roleplay in a mansion, perhaps?

What Happened Here…?

Now that is certainly the question, detective.

If you ask me, this was once the mansion of a rich hermit with a strangely large number of connections with traders of a nearby metropolis. Paying people to build the mansion then living in it entirely self-sustaining. Staff were present at first, but they disappeared over the years, until one day the head of the house met the same peculiar fate of vanishing to never return. Leaving it an empty ghost of a house.

Spooky?

Though you can always put your own spin on it. Perhaps it’s genuinely just that dream house you wanted. Nothing wrong with that, is there?
